For as long as I can remember, I've loved music; I recall telling my mother that I wanted to "do" music when I was a "grown-up". During my childhood and teen-age years I had piano lessons, and as soon as I was eligible to do so, I enrolled in band and orchestra classes and lessons in junior & senior high school.
Since 1990 I've been serving as the pianist, organist (and some-times choir director) at First Baptist Church of Alpine, California.
In 1994 I began offering piano lessons at my Mountain Musicabin Studio in the unincorporated area of east San Diego County known as "Descanso"; violin lessons became a part of my studio program in 2015.
I graduated summa cum laude from Christian Heritage College (now named San Diego Christian College) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. In a former lifetime (unrelated to music), I had earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Psychology from UCSD.
I am a member of the Music Teacher's Association of California and the Music Teachers' National Association (through which I have been awarded the distinction of being named a "Nationally Certified Teacher of Music" (NCTM).
